Zan Family Aussie Adventure

Maureen and her team have done it again. These decodable books not only complement the stage 7 learning program, but provide a sequential storyline which students will find adventurous and engaging. With so many UK and US based decodable readers in the market, it is always exciting to see LLLL release its latest Aussie titles. We genuinely look forward in sharing these decodable books with our students.

Loved the travel theme

I like the very Australian experiences and language used in these books that children will be able to identify with. It would have been great if a visit to see the penguins at Phillip Island had been included. I really love the new books and can’t wait to use them with my students.
On another note the spiral bound teachers‘ texts don’t wear well. I would prefer a properly bound book.
I hope there will be a Grade two series made in the future which could include more factual or informative texts using an Australian theme such as the koala, the penguin, llyre bird, the kookaburra, the cassowary the emu, the kangaroo, the goanna etc...
Another topic could be more facts about Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Hobart, Perth, Brisbane, Canberra, and Darwin.
The list goes on...Australian historical people of importance
Australians of the year, Australian sports heroes, Special events in the Australian calendar etc...
Best wishes
Sue
